Macrion (“the app”) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. In short: the app does not collect personal data, has no user accounts, and shows no ads or trackers.
All of the information you enter — your age, height, weight, sex, activity level, goals, food entries, and daily logs — is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any third-party server, and we have no ability to access it. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
When you search for a food or scan a barcode, the app sends the search term or the barcode number to two public nutrition databases in order to retrieve nutrition facts:
Only the search text or barcode you look up is sent. No personal identifiers, account information, or your saved logs are included in these requests.
The app requests camera access only so you can scan product barcodes. The camera feed is used on-device to read a barcode and is not photographed, stored, or transmitted.
Macrion contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not build a profile of you.
Macrion is a general-purpose wellness tool and is not directed at children under 13.
The macro and calorie targets Macrion calculates are estimates for general wellness and are not medical or nutritional advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
